Also on the programme is a review of the other show that’s on at THEATRE BY THE LAKE at the moment: THE PROFESSOR OF ADVENTURE, written by, and starring PETER MACQUEEN. The show is virtually sold out at Theatre by the Lake, but you can catch it on tour at various locations around Cumbria.
The opening night of THE SHEPHERD’S LIFE at Theatre by the Lake is finally upon us. We had a very appreciative full house for our preview last night, and we’ll be making a few last minute tweaks throughout today.
I think the strangest thing about tonight will be having several people who feature in the play actually in the audience, including the Herdwick Shepherd himself, James Rebanks!

Unfortunately it doesn’t feature any of my music (just stock music in the background), but it does give a good feel for the show, and a sneaky preview of the fantastic puppets by Jimmy Grimes.

Rehearsals began this week for THE SHEPHERD’S LIFE at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick.
Week 1 will be taken up with looking at the text with Writer and Director, Chris Monks, and working with the fabulous puppeteer, Jimmy Grimes.
I’ll be heading for Keswick next week, to throw some singing into the mix!
