I’m very saddened to hear of the death of playwright, Louise Page.
I was lucky enough to work with her as composer on her adaptation of ROGUE HERRIES – staged by Theatre by the Lake in 2013.

I also spent some time working with Louise on ideas for two pieces for children – based on the works of Beatrix Potter, and the Uncle Remus stories.
Louise had a fierce intellect, and a real eye for detail.
Sending much love to Louise’s family, friends and colleagues.
I’m very much enjoying seeing everyone posting lists of 10 albums that influenced their taste in music – and indeed casting judgement on people in light of their choices! (Who hasn’t cast their eyes over a friends cd collection and re-evaluated how they see them??)
I don’t have the patience to post 1 a day for 10 days, so here are my 10 all in one go.
Feel free to start casting your judgement on me now (although few of these will come as a surprise to those who know me)….
This is an idea that’s been floating around, to get Youtube users to help each other reach the required thresholds to monetise videos.
By subscribing to each others channels, and watching content, we can help each other to get to the point where we can start generating some income from our channels.

Best Wishes to all for a happy and successful 2020!
I’ll be taking a bus across the Outback for the next few months, as Assistant MD on the UK tour of PRISCILLA – QUEEN OF THE DESERT.

After 3 intensive weeks, tonight is the opening night of GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS at the Theatre Royal Newcastle. I think the audiences are going to love it, and I feel very privileged to be a part of this production – my very first commercial Panto (Oh yes it is!). It’s a fabulous cast, crew, band, and creative team, and the Circus acts are amazing. Plenty of fun to be had between now and mid January!
I’m delighted to say that I will be spending this year’s festive season at Newcastle Theatre Royal, as Musical Director for GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS.
Having played the Theatre in recent times with both HAIRSPRAY and THE SOUND OF MUSIC, I can safely say it’s one of my favourite venues in the country. Having also spent time at LIVE theatre with GEORDIE SINATRA, I can say it’s one of my favourite cities too.
The show runs from the 27th Nov 2018 to Jan 20th 2019.
If you’re in the North East, come and say hello.

After almost a year on the road, the HAIRSPRAY tour comes to an end today in sunny Bournemouth. It’s been a fantastic show, and thanks to everyone who has been involved in making it such a memorable experience. X
After all this time on the road, there are now only 6 weeks left for the HAIRSPRAY UK Tour.
If you still want to catch the show, we will be in Newcastle, Eastbourne, Dublin, York, Swansea and Bournemouth.
Full details of the tour can be found here: http://www.hairsprayuktour.com/tour-dates/
